Referral agencies
Only accept referrals via First Stop Darlington or Darlington Council.
Referral procedure
Named agency referrals only. Phone or call in 8am-10pm daily to arrange interview. Application form and risk assessment completed at interview. Require proof of ID. May require further information after risk assessment.

Staffing and support ^ back to top
Support services
7 full time staff, 24 hour waking cover. Keywork system (5 residents per worker), compulsory keywork meetings two weeks after arrival, then monthly. Care plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed monthly. Staff give advice on benefits, training and job search.
Access to move-on
Staff offer support with finding move-on accommodation and resettlement.

Hope House provides direct access accommodation for single homeless people with a Darlington connection. Accommodation is in 18 ensuite bedsits, with a shared kitchen. Support plans are drawn up with residents and staff give advice on benefits, getting on training programmes, attending courses and job search.
